All of NC's major cities are bluer than the sky and Asheville is one of the most liberal towns in the nation.
All major metros in the Carolinas are growing very fast in population. Fast growing metro areas that have strong job growth, income growth, and an increase in educational attainment- rarely become more conservative over time.

Tim Walz is looking more prudent and wise by the day after observing Florida, Texas, and Arizona. The question is how much is the NC governor saving by keeping down the cases in health costs and being able to keep the economy open vs. having maskless wonders who think taking basic Covid precautions are insulting the president.

It's probably a great time to update some of the Covid-19 posts.

I would say move to Canada, or even Europe, where I'm guessing your ancestors are from, but those places are what America is going to look like, top to bottom - one-party rule like California - in due time.

I'm sorry, it's just the truth. You gotta bunker down and stand up for what you believe in and what is right, where you are.
I was motivated to leave MN after the riots and the defund the cops movement started, but after we began to look into moving we discovered that what you said here is truth. There is nowhere to run from this madness any longer and anyone who thinks otherwise is really fooling themselves as I was. Minneapolis just happened to be the flashpoint for something that could have happened anywhere. Every single major city in this country is capable of descending into instant chaos at this point thanks to weak and liberal democratic leadership. Not to absolve the actions of the cops involved, but it was certainly our misfortune that a career thug by the name of George Floyd wandered up here from Houston to continue his string of lawbreaking treachery in our state.....but what happened afterward was bound to happen anyway and it could have occurred in any other city. The libs wanted it to happen, they were waiting with their teeth clenched and their eyes bugging out for an excuse to go off. This scorching, radical leftist infection has spread to every corner, nook and cranny of our nation and trying to outrun it at this point is a draining exercise in futility. We've spent 3 plus years building a good life here and we're not ready to give it up just so we can exhaust every ounce of energy and resources we have to wind up experiencing the same stuff somewhere else.....because inevitably that's exactly what will happen.

Besides.....we don't live in Minneapolis. We live in Trump country up here. You should take a drive around my neck of the woods and see the plethora of American flags, Trump flags and Trump signs in all the yards and on all the properties. It's inspiring. We have American patriots up here and they are ready to fight for our precious way of life! I have not seen ONE Biden sign, sticker, banner.......ANYWHERE.....not even in the cities this year. The media propaganda train is the only place you'll find support for that propped up corpse. His very candidacy is a desperate fabrication and everyone knows it. The honest, hard working people of Minnesota have had enough of radical liberalism and this state is primed to go red. We're not going to let them take what we've worked so hard for.

We're staying. We're fighting. We're winning.

Bop on up 35 to the Iron Range and you'll see plenty of Biden signs.

How's the meth in Isanti Co.? Enjoyed pretty thoroughly by your friends and neighbors, I hear.

Though I do think it would be a good idea if the population of the Twin Cities decreased, and the population was dispersed throughout the rest of the state.

Well said. Decent and honest people will need to develop a chemotherapy to fight the cancer of liberalism.

This would be a perfect time for an in the middle independent to swoop in and win, but good luck finding one.

Why?

You don't have to worry, the Metropolitan Council (un-elected, FAR left-wing bureaucrats, all) are doing everything in their power to destroy Minnesota.

I think maybe the Dakotas would be a decent place to flee to. Minnesota is far more close to purple than people think.

Some would argue Trump was the worst Republican candidate in American history (not me), and in addition to that, he literally didn't try to win MN and he still nearly won the state.

Now, other people would argue Hillary was one of the worst cadidates in history, so there's that. But there was no reason in hell that Trump should have been that close to winning MN without even trying.

I have a gut feeling Trump will win Minnesota this year, as well. After that prediction model that has been right 25 of 27 last presidential elections has Trump likelihood of winning again at 91%, I think the burning down of the Twin Cities is going to force a lot of otherwise bleeding hearts in Minnesota to vote Red.
