I agree, but storage facilities are huge, profitable business models - cheap to build, and huge cashflows to boot.

You think Mobile or Birmingham is bad, you need to see the hundreds and hundreds of them being built and already built around Tampa Bay. You'd be shocked !....even in the burbs

There’s been some action since yesterday

A developer is looking to develop 2 properties, 8 new houses in the Peninsula on Brill rd where the trailer park was and developed 5 new houses in DeTonti Square in Downtown

CoE has reapplied their permit for the Civic Center Development based on BOA decisions

The multi-family development on St Louis Street has started the permitting process

The Civic Center development is slowly getting there...

Glad to see "Cedar and Saint" is getting off the ground, too!

I think we should BOLO for additional new single family construction downtown a la DeTonti Place

If it comes out like the old building across from the former Press Register building, it'll be nice!

Looks like a Pre-Development meeting happened for a new Multi-family/Single family development on Old Government Road behind Home Depot. The current concept site plan features 222-unit townhomes and 25 single family houses

That will be an interesting project. I did not know DR Horton developed multifamily buildings.

Was anyone else aware of this?

https://www.wkrg.com/mobile-county/p...znKgIcx4gPoEhc

The land owner of about 200 acres wants create a 400 lot subdivision of single family manufactured homes on University Boulevard north of the Moffet Rd intersection. I was excited until I paid attention to the manufactured home part. We need housing but I don’t think putting manufactured homes in the city is it
