The presence of Metro isn't nearly as off-putting as the coal piles at nearby Garrows Bend

I really wish the city would try hard to relocate the metro and all of those bail bonds shops away from their current locations.
Maybe Mobile's population declines is plaguing the city a little..? I don't see how Metro may restrict interest in that area. Metro is in an industrial area. The city could make the section of Water St. more appealing since it leads to the Cruise Terminal & Gulfquest. I don't know, I just hoped for more. The mayor did say on one of the local news outlets "it's better than a big empty parking lot!" I agree with that but it seems like he might took a little heat for pushing the USACE plan forward. I guess it's something..

The city will be voting in the next two weeks to extend and amend the TIF for the downtown area and includes funding for several projects desired, including:

- Jeff Speck street optimization
- Waterfront park amenities/Heroes Park
- St. Louis Street rehab/remodel
- Isom Clemon Park
- Civic Center Arena

Nice set of projects. Is that residential development for 500 St. Louis Street the Cedar & Saint development?

I wish it was taller but I like the design though.

Looks like permitting work is beginning with the Live Oak Trace retirement community at the intersection of Overlook and Middle Ring Road. It will be 56 units once complete

Another project has peaked my interest, A PDM has come out for a what’s left of those apartments across the Dog River Bridge on Hollinger’s Island on DIP. Under the description it says the property will be demolished for a new development but not much other info other than that
