From Mcgowin Park to Heron Lakes and from the Lowes to I-10 those are the only areas of hwy 90 that don't seem like it's stuck in the 90s.

Hwy 90 could be going through a resurgence! Demolishing the motels are a good start. 90 could once again be the entertainment area it once was back in the day. I'm just speculating but I like what I'm seeing.

Yea I agree, the corridor between Tillmans Corner and I-65 feels like it stills in the 80s, as time goes on, its getting more and more blighted; I'm thinking it would be wise to start encouraging developers to build apartments and townhomes along the corridors as all the commercial land is no longer needed in the 21st century

So I created an excel sheet that shows most (if not all) the current housing projects going on in the city right now since 2021

Right now, if all the current housing projects come to fruition, it would equate to 4,173 new housing units coming into the city. A total of 1,736 housing units are currently in the permitting stages and 437 housing units are currently under construction

Edit: This doesn't include the handful of "revived" subdivision being worked on such as the Falling Leaf Subdivision and a handful of smaller subdivisions or the subdivisions currently building out in the newly annexed areas like King's Branch
Edit: Forgot the add The Landing into Projects not yet permitting which will be a 48 lot subdivision in the newly annexed area

Permitting means they are filling out the necessary paper work to build something. What I mean by "Projects not yet permitting" is that they have shown intentions of building something by doing a PUD, BOA, SUB, ZON or something like that, but not started the necessary permitting paperwork.

Thank you for keeping track... that is a good way to see the momentum occurring on the housing side, especially good to see after a few years of the doldrums.
