[quote=Dream207;30335670] Things happen in peoples life inwhich they might need help more than others and not to be funny but some of yall sound really ignorant. Just because someone is low income they should not be able to have children? Some of The people effected from hurricane sandy may never live the same again but they shouldnt have children? This isnt about me, its about nycha. Me and alot of other may have different point of views but thats how our creator made us ( if you believe in god or whom ever). I am able to have children and i didnt have a child with any of you so before you judge, add that to in your memo. Not everyone whom is low income looks like it and doesnt mean they shouldnt have children or cant take care of their child. Just because they ask for a little assistance. If you ask thats kind of like the same as me saying why bring a child into the world if you know how dangerous and unsafe it is? ... but okay pass judgment because all of you " Rich folks" know so well and act like poor or low income people dont pay taxes as well....

Perhaps you could visit another thread here, entitled "why educated and responsible citizens have few or no children ...?"

Try and consider whether this might reflect another, perhaps improved "normal."

Right here you assumed that I was struggling financially. You don't know my income, do you? You are just assuming that since I have a family and I applied for NYCHA that I am some kind of struggling bum? I'm happy to inform you that you are wrong.
Many people downgrade public housing. There are mixed diversities of people wherever you go. Crime happens everywhere, even in a middle class community not just the Projects. People with education, good careers and well paying jobs live in NYCHA. No where that you go in NY can you beat the rent of a NYCHA apartment. The money I could save rather than spend on a very crammed apartment will be going towards my child's education.
You don't need to be struggling to want to pay cheaper rent. Point blank.

If you aren't struggling then leave the apartment to someone who is point blank. How selfish and me me me thinking of you. "Oh I don need help but I want it just to not pay what I should".
I don't want to pay full price for my groceries perhaps I will get on food stamps so I can buy new shoes instead of just food

That should be without question because it shouldn't even be up to her. If she's not struggling, she's likely LYING on her application to qualify for the apartment. NYCHA is a sick, festering pustule of the rear-end of the dying social welfare system. We're way past the time when we should have popped it.

LMAO seriously? I make my own decisions on whether I want to pay cheaper rent without caring about what YOU say I "should."
Let me stop here because I find debating with idiots a total waste of my time. I understand why you don't have children now. Please do yourself a favor, and don't.

You should care very much. Supported housing is precisely that - and it is supported, or not, by the greater society around you - most certainly NOT by some phantom "government" as too many people believe. There is no "government" in the sense of an über-wealthy and benevolent paternal body. There are only the taxpayers and citizens, and the things they decide to support or to cut.

People have rights of opinion for that reason.

You're relying on taxpayers to cover part of your rent.

So yes, you are struggling financially. You cannot support your family on your own.

With so much hate you must be like a loose cannon when you work. Well, the NYPD is known to recruit all sorts of misanthropics. To protect and serve indeed...

I only hate people who seek to take away constitutional rights. Public housing is not a constitutional right.
