GUYS so I just got a call from somebody at Langsam, they said the move in date is January 15...she said they haven't forgotten about us etc. She said they will keep in touch if anything changes and for information on the move in procedure, and said the call was basically to start making whatever plans or arrangements to prepare for the move. Anyone else got a call?
Congrats to you both QUNYC and Elbasurero. I'm still waiting and hoping for that call to come in and view an apt. I guess HPD is still reviewing my application. At least there is a move in date.
Spoke with a friend who's an expeditor. Per my request, he looked at this building on the DOB's site and said they are at least six months off from getting a CO. They could get a temporary CO but they need to fix all their violations and such before this will be issued and then get inspected and cleared.
I interviewed this week. Seemed to clear the first hurtle and filled out an application for a one bedroom at the 1.8k level. We shall see! The studios are sold out, so waitlisting only now, as are the one bedrooms and three bedrooms at the cheapest level. They said they are very backed up and it could take 5-7 weeks to hear back.
Read the above posts about a January 15th move in date. My interviewer did not echo this, instead saying it would be AT LEAST several more months. Again, hoping this isn't true for all of those who've selected their apartments, maybe just for late comings like me? The building did look mostly complete, however missing some structural elements.
Wishing everyone on this board luck! Will check back in with any updates.
I received a call today to come in on Monday to choose my apt. Tenative move in date is Jan 15. She told me not to renew my current lease as I have been approved.
