does anyone know if there are any 50% or 60% AMI units still available? I was going through the process and everything was going well until I was told they were putting me in at the 120% AMI. I am mobility impaired and low income with a section 8 voucher. is NYC billing or absorbing port in vouchers? I would be coming from PA and the voucher amounts are no where near rents for NYC....

Hi Cassienova94,

Can you just briefly explain your process with this lottery. Appoximately how long did it take for the city to approve you officially after the management company sent out your file to the city? I am in the process now and just wanted an idea of how long I’d have to wait.

Hello so i applied in Ocotber 2017 got an email about april 2018 that i was accepted for review. Was given a list of documents me and my boyfriend had to produce. Return those by May. Then we recieved an email that all docments was lost so we had to resubmit some more documents plus the application for the city to accept us. Waited about 2 weeks then we were told bring in the money order . Ran the credit check, then about 1 week later we got the approval from the city. We were asked our bedroom preference chose a 2 bedroom. Then we were given a move in date of sept 7 and we had to come up with rent x2. Moved in September 10 been a great experince since then

Hi Cassienova94,

Thank you for responding. So I submited the requested documents on a Friday a couple weeks ago, then the following Monday was told to bring in the money order and also to sign city release forms. After that I waited 1 week to contact the K&R rep to check if my file was sent out. I was told they were waiting until later on that week to send out my file because applicants with lower log #s then I had to be placed in a unit or waitlisted. So this Friday should be 2 weeks since they supposedly sent my file out. My log # is 8xx with no preference. Did you have any preferences? I can’t help but to feel a little impatient at this point lol since I am looking to move ASAP. Hopefully I hear something by the end of this week, by next week the latest.

Also, credit was checked same day I signed city release forms so I’m hoping there are still apartments available when they review my file. I qualified for a studio apartment in the 120% ami. Were you contacted by phone or email with the final approval?
