Thank you for the responses to my post. Sadly, a lot of these waitlists take forever regardless.

i wonder how that works if a townhouse is a "studio" but their advertisment states a townhouse is for "1-3 persons"

That's what I heard when I called, too. The way it's written on Mitchell Lama Connect led me to believe the townhouses were one bedrooms but they're large studios.

I think, knowing this, I miiiiight pass on this one. What do you all think?

Hi Shady, The way I see it, it doesn’t hurt to submit the application. All one would lose is the time to fill out the application and the $75 fee. You don’t have to take the apt when you get called but it might be nice to see what the apt is like. I still have my eyes on Penn South since I was drawn for a 1br there vs a studio at Village East. I’m still submitting the application for the latter.

What is the policy on renting out a Mitchel Lama and do you have to pay property tax if you buy a Mitchel Lama co-op?

Apparently there are only 16 townhouses. The wait will likely be many many years for most of us.

It's not for me. I'm relinquishing my spot. So, that's one less person between you guys and the townhouse even though my number was very high!
