I hate that these marketing agents can never give a straight answer.
It's always like these lotteries are some sort of big secret that must be protected at all cost. So annoying.

These people literally have a list that shows how many people are in front of each person, and I am positive they have gone through enough lotteries to know more or less how long it will take them to get through 10 people on the list before they reach your number. I honestly never understood the secrecy of this whole process.
Exactly!! Like just let me know if I have a chance to move in now or maybe the next few months or if by the look of things, being placed on a waiting list. Most people are in Yrly leases. But they should be processing CB now then maybe next two weeks ME. Lol who the heck knows. I wish I had a clear answer.

Mimi... I know we discussed this before and it got ugly but I'm now on my 13th interview and they always tell me that your number is randomly selected. Of course it makes no sense according to the handbook but my last place we were number 3 (the lowest ever) with mobility and community preference for a place that had 7 apartments. We weren't selected. I called and they said the same thing "unless you're randomly selected we cannot contact you for an interview". From my experience: you get a low log number and can only hope that your number gets randomly selected. It is only then that a low log number helps. Just my experience. I hate this whole process. Mitchell Lama however calls each number in order. So effing weird

Hey Lottery Hopeful! How are you? Haven't seen you here in awhile.

I was actually referring to the marketing agents telling us our place in line AFTER we actually have been contacted. Like now, all of us here have gone to our appointments, which means they have a list in order of log number to work off. So with that list they can clearly see how many people are ahead of you, that's why I never understand why they can't say, okay well there's X amount of apartments and there are X amount of people to process before you, we will reach your log number around X time or we expect you to be waitlisted and know that outcome around X time. Again I am only talking about those of us who have already been contacted for the eligibility appointment. Hope that makes sense.

All good on this end.
I'm over this too, I haven't even bothered to reach out to reside because I know they won't even give a real update.

They really don't... just that everything is still processing. My cousin had a super fast process in the Bronx.... she got called in for an interview, two weeks later she was told it was approved and came in and signed some papers. A week later another call: she can look at the place and a week or two after that she moved in. The whole process was done in under 5 weeks. Mind boggling
