Thanks, question, when the management start to call for interviews, will they call random log numbers or numerical order?
They call in numerical order. They should start with the preference logs first (people with a disability, live in the community board, municipal employees) when people with those preferences are called their log numbers can be low, middle or high depending where they landed. Once those preference units are filled they go back to the list for the general population and start at 1 or whatever the next lowest number to process is.
Ok, thanks. I would be listed for a preference unit with disability, but most likely not gonna get called because it's a small percentage of disability units set aside.I doubt my number is reached.

I honestly thought it was randomized. Even if you do have a high log number the pick would be random not numerical order?

log numbers are assigned randomly to all applicants once the application closes, but once log numbers are assigned, folks are called in to interview in numerical order, starting with those with preferences. So if someone has a preference and their log number is 20 and the next preference log is 200, they could get called before someone with log number 10 who has no preferences. That's why sometimes folks with high log numbers but preferences get called in early. Once all the preference units are filled they go back to the list to interview the general applicant pool in numerical order.

YES!!! A lot of people get confused with the words "Randomly Selected"
The reality is that the assignment of the log numbers is the random act in these lotteries.
Nothing else should be random after people receive their log numbers.
Your log number is really your place in line in the entire lottery, with the exception of those with preference.
My NUMBER IS 68,***, No preference. Bye bye Carolina.
