Oh okay, I'm trying for a 2 bdrm or 1 bdrm, i have a young son so even if they offered me the 1 bdrm i wouldnt mind camping out for a couple of years or just moving into the living room. Yeah, i was thinking about that as well. Even though folks may be turning the offer down due to loss of income, C&C still has to do their due dilligence and contact folks with lower log numbers and document if they reject the offer or no longer qualify. So i realize this will take some time. just hoping there will be some units left in my band by the time they get to me! I hope you get good news soon, too! Fingers and toes crossed over here lol
So sweet! Thank you! Don’t give up. I already said whatever the outcome is I won’t be upset. We recently just had another baby and our two bedroom is very tight with four children. So we are looking to remain in our neighborhood but expand our home setting. Let’s see how it goes ! Good luck love ! I will send updates as I receive information. Also if anyone would like expert help I highly recommend following this YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaz...Ph5SY2cJALMzyw she has so much useful information in regards to the affordable housing process.
Yeah I wish they gave more information about where you stand in the process. I know they are all inundated with emails but it shouldn't be hard to say we have sent your file to HPD for final approval, or while we collected your information, we have are ot yet ready to send your file for final review. "It's Processing" is just so vague.
I've dealt with C and C before for an apartment and the experience was much better. It was constant communication through lease signing.

I agree. When I first called them they told me my file was in process but they would call when they got to my log number. Exactly one week later they called to submit my file for review but still needed documents. Onces I sent her the documents she sent it off and emailed me saying my file was sent. So now it’s just a waiting game. I am actually nervous because I never had moved into affordable housing. The documentation felt like it was never ending. It’s like they want your entire life.
So I emailed my specialist and she said my file was approved by HDC, YAY! she said she'll be in touch in the next couple of weeks with the next steps! so good news, but more waiting, ooof!

Omg ! Congratulations!! How many days did it take for the approval!

You know, I'm really not sure! They asked me for additional documents on April 27th and said i had to send them in by May 5th which i sent in like 2 days later. On Monday May 4th there was some details left off the household questionnaire that she brought to my attention. I updated the form and scanned it back to her that same day. So I'm guessing they sent off the file May 5th, but it could have been any date after that, she never really told me. But let's say she sent it the week of May 4th, this week is the week of May 25th, so that's anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks, solely an estimate though! but at any rate, now that I know my file is approved, i'm wondering why the next steps are going to take a few more weeks :-/
