Wow. I am happy for everyone that received a call back, congratulations this process is definitely long and tiresome. I find it amazing how I never received a call or email and my log #7xx with preference wow so they can’t be going by log numbers this is crazy cause when we got the low log # of 7xx we thought that would be a good thing but guess they over looked our application and it’s really sad. Hearing that everyone log # is high I still can’t believe no one has even contacted me. But I’m absolutely happy for everyone who is or have been processed and ready to move in. Congrats again and enjoy your new apartments
That’s weird, what preference do you have if you don’t mind me asking?

I haven’t received approval yet. But from my understanding the numbers are randomly selected. I was called for an interview many years ago with a log number of 60,000. Once the log numbers are chosen .. they handle the paperwork in order based on log number. Don’t give up ! Many buildings are going up. If you’re looking to remain in the Harlem area there is one going up on Lenox Avenue. I have been applying for years and this is the first building I have really focused in on

NiniCakes has a log # in the 7k with CB preference and got a 1 bedroom. How did they manage to skip HarlemKid3919 and he has a log # in the 700s with the same preference? I’m confused?

I don’t have a CB preference but a municipal preference and yes my log # is 7xx right so how did the manger to miss my application idk, and I’m in the 100 AMI bracket shaking my head I’m over this housing lottery bull**** cause I’ve been applying and have been called it’s always something it’s either I make too much or too little. I’m leaving NYC

According to the announcement for this lottery, listed at the following link:
Municipal preference accounts for only 5% of the apartments. 5% of 399 (apartments) is 19.95 so lets call it an even 20 apartments. Your log number is in the 700 range. It is possible that there may be more than 20 applicants with municipal preference who have log numbers lower than yours. If this is the case that can be a reason why you haven't been contacted yet. It doesn't necessarily mean that a "manager missed your application." Also, once they fill those 20 apartments allotted for municipal preference, anyone else with municipal preference that hasn't been processed goes back into the general pool of applicants. This is true for all preference categories. So you can still get called with such a low log number once they go back to the general pool after all preferenced units have been filled and they've already filled the municipal preferenced units. I hope you hear some good news soon! Hang in there and you can always contact C&C to check on the status of your application and inquire as to whether or not they are still screening municipal preference applicants.

Oh wow I thought you had CB preference. Have patience though, they’re still doing CB preferences which is for 200 apartments. After CB it’s ME which is only 20 apartments. You might be in that first pool. FYI: DI = 20 Apts CB = 200 Apts ME = 20 Apts GP = 160 Apts in that order each group taking the left overs.

NiniCakes so you have CB preference with a log # in the 7000s? Have been determined eligible by management? Then approved by HPD? And now you have a 1 bedroom waiting for you? Hope I didn’t ask too much just want to know my chances with a similar situation
Thank you so much guys for the information I really appreciate it and I’m just tired of this whole affordable living and waiting. I’ve been through a process got denied and have numerous emails about how I don’t qualify so when this came out and my log # was low and I fall into the AMI bracket I was hyped but I feel like I’m losing and not wining. It I won’t bring that energy to this group chat cause everyone has been helpful and positive. So I thank you guys once again for the info and keep us posted

No chance ninicakes wrote they have already filled ME I don’t understand how if they’re still working on CB preference but idk beats me.

Hey ElBarrio! I do have a log # in the 7000s and have CB preference. I was determined eligible by management and when I emailed my housing specialist on May 29th, she told me that HDC approved my file and that she would be in contact with me in the next couple of weeks for the next steps. She didn't mention
if they were assigning me a 1bdrm or 2 bdrm but I'm assuming it's going to be a 1 bdrm because my income falls under the minimum for the 2 bdrm, but then again the ami's have changed for 2020 and I'm not sure if they're still going by last year's limit or this year.'s So that's my situation at the moment! Been told my file was approved by HDC, but no lease or appointment to take a virtual tour of the apartment yet. I plan to follow up with my housing specialist by the end of next week, which will be 2 weeks since she told me about my file being approved, if she doesnt reach out to me first!
