The building has a laundry room, but I'm not sure if that means anything. I know that 242 Broome - also of the Essex class has in-unit laundry machines.

We could find this out if someone who's been contacted just emails back with that question. Generally agents respond to simple factual questions (e.g. "is this building pet-friendly?"), though it may take a little prompting. So if anyone wants to do that...

C&C Management does the other EC buildings so if you're contacted by them it's almost certainly legit.

Oh, and usually the next step after submitting all your notarized stuff is notification of whether you're provisionally qualified for an available unit. This can happen very quickly or very slowly. The hurdle there is a unit in your band still being available--for efficiency, they interview more people than there are apartments. At that point, assuming there is one, they will send your stuff off to HPD for final review (which is usually just a formality).

I'd be completely shocked if it didn't allow pets. All other Essex buildings do (except maybe the seniors, I just don't know). Very few new market-rate rentals these days don't.

You have a VERY very good chance of getting called.
We won a lottery with a log number of 4,500 we did have municipal preference but they said they didn’t even use that... bc they had already filled that preferences. Anyway.... you have a great shot. Good luck.

There are 12 130% 2-brs, seems like a decent possibility. Just remember not to plan your life around it.
