Nonetheless, Essex Crossing has pulled through the pandemic reasonably well. If it's not too far from your job, you can't beat the convenience.
I was asked to submit documents to this development (my log number was 2xxx) but they buried my paperwork because they wanted me to send them my documents in an email. When I told them that I didn’t feel comfortable emailing them private and sensitive information they immediately put me on the waitlist. The staff at the time wasn’t very pleasant to deal with. They later came up with the excuse that everyone is working from home and well the office was off limits.

Contacted for documents.

Not going forward, already in lottery apartment.

What's interesting is the rent for 2 bedrooms is now $2843, up from $2304 in the original affordable housing ad.

Why did it increase so much? Any ideas?
That's not right...at most the increase should be the allowable under annual rent stabilized renewals, which should have rent still at or under $2400. When I moved into my rerental last year, the rent was only $69 more than the original lottery rent five years previous.

Maybe the unit was somehow never rented and they're applying whatever annual escalator they had for the apartments pre-project completion. Still sounds kinda sketch to me.

I am in the same boat, just got asked to submit documents for 2bd 130AMI with the monthly rent at $2843. I am on the fence if I will, as the due date is tomorrow and I had already been planning to move out of the city. This sort of is making me reconsider. Is there anyone living in a 2bd in the building who is happy with it? I read earlier about people complaining about the noise and fumes.

Submit the docs to give yourself time. Take a look. Some people find it too noisy, some don't. There are zero availabilities at the absurd market rate rents, if that means anything to you.

I haven't been here since the reveal but the building is beautiful. The lobby and the illuminated stairwell next to the main entrance is fire. For those of you that live here, how has your experience been going thus far?

sooo,

I was just asked to submit paperwork for this lottery: for a studio for $2,146. What a good joke to start the weekend. I will not proceed since I already have a lottery apartment for less.. and a one bedroom at that But even if they gave me a one bedroom for 130, I wouldn't take it. These are the same people who lost my documentation and wanted me to submit paperwork through regular email and I'm just not going to do that.
