Damn I just read through the thread for OBS lol hoping that it won't take the marketing agent that long this time around... I'm also in for 1 Boreum but it seems they paused viewings to "catch up on documentation" which is strange bc the marketing agent over there accepted my appeal and documents so the only next step is viewing and then to HPD. Also in for Caton Flats but might withdraw depending on timing of these two.

Got reached out to for paperwork! Log #5xx!
Any idea if they are using community preference for this one?

Quick question - so I see that OBS sent out doc invites to ~1000 people I assume as we have 9xx who received an invite as well. When they send out the doc invites, do they do initial screening based on your income on your application or do they just req doc to all even if your income might be outside the requirement as long as your log no falls within the range? Let's say if a person has log no of 50 but income entered was 50k, would this person still receive an invite?

I am glad they are moving faster then 650 W 42nd but was bit shocked that literally ~1000 requests went out at once.

log#13xx. I just signed the lease of an affordable apt and will be moving in two weeks. The apt is a good deal in good location, but kinda small. 22xx for a 400ish sqft for 1bd with 1 month free. I like the building and the neighborhood. I am interested in TBS. Any advice if I should bail the apt now or later?

The only downside at the moment for OBS compared to other top lottery units is the transportation (I will disregard the rent difference of ~300 as the 400 sqft is smaller compared to OBS). It really comes down to personal preference. I assume the apt you are moving into is in Manhattan?

Manhattan riverview in Brooklyn vs. Normal city view in Manhattan. As I will ultimately live in Manhattan in the future, I would pick Riverview in Brooklyn for now. From my experience, OBS is a winner vs any current lottery in non-manhattan units.
