We don’t have any of that yet so they rejected us based off us not being considered a household. Is this even worth an appeal? Is this the Norm?
I am confused. You were denied for not "being a household?" Are you using both of your incomes together to meet the eligibility for the apartment?

Any updates? - I was contacted last night to confirm eligibility. It was a quick phone call to confirm details on docs submitted. I skipped the viewing part as I've been to the open house twice over the summer and know which units i may be interested in - i hope skipping this part would make the process a bit faster. Will keep everyone posted.

can you schedule a viewing or go to an open house if you haven't submitted documents (or been asked to submit documents)?

Hey! Just a quick update in case anyone else is in the same boat:
I was rejected because my NYCHA Section 8 housing choice voucher wouldn’t cover the cost of the unit. Such a bummer! Wishing you all the best of luck, though!!

Update on my end - rejected because I am over limit based on ResideNY's income calculation. Doesn't sit well with me because I've qualified in the same bracket with 3 other lotteries based on the same information, but my income breakdown is subjective.

Hey there - I'm not sure if you can attend an open house now. I did over the summer.
I can give you management's info if you'd like.

Sounds like these guys are going to be “choosey”

I really wanted to apply to this one. I live a few blocks away but I’m in the 60-70 AMI for most lotteries. Hoping some of the other buildings currently being built have space for my family!

If you really want it, please appeal.
