I know someone who is a friend of my cousin, lives nearby and applied to this lottery. She asked a valid question where the answer may benefit some people. She has income from employment and cash assistance and asked if they count cash assistance as income ? has anyone wone a lottery with cash assistance as part of their income or all?
Yes, if the cash assistance is recurring, they will count it as income.
I bought a telescope and can see inside these apartments. The ones on the top and even mid floors are gorgeous with views to die for. The nice views face Jersey. There are some with views to midtown Manhattan. Whoever wins those apartments really won the lottery! There are also other apartments with obstructed views to another building but I'd even take them if I weren't in my current unit. By the way, part of the building appears to still be under construction.

Thanks for the update. On the lottery page the units are facing a building
I feel like you'll have a shot for this one with you log. It is a pretty big building and they have more than 100 units for non-pref applicants. Do you mind if I ask what log number you had for 232 E54th street and how long it took them to contact you after the lottery closed?
Btw, we have a spreadsheet for 601 W 29th Street just for us to track the processing. If you don't mind you can add yours to the spreadsheet too. Thought it would be helpful for us to see how fast/slow things are moving.
I believe my log number for 232 E54th was 18855 so pretty high in the scheme of things, I believe they only got up to log #s 3000-5000 before it went to general pop. The lottery closed around mid August and they contacted me late December. The whole process was VERY disorganized and everyone on the forum was very confused haha so I guess it just depends what company is running processing. I think people started moving in in May of this year through the end of the summer so it seems like the process from start to finish can take up to a year.

Thanks for this info. While every lottery is different (especially when construction is involved), I'm just taking a guess that they are aiming to complete it by March-May 2023 with the move in dates based on when they started calling people/the rate they are going. Could be totally off, but that's my guess as of now.
Oh wow do you really think the construction will take that long to complete? That's really disappointing as I believe this building was supposed to be complete by late August.
I read somewhere that the lower portion of the building is ready and started leasing. The upper portion of the building will be ready sometime in 2023.
I can see this building from out my window and it is definitely under construction.
