For anyone who is wrongly stopped and frisked, go public with the story, talk to lawyers, etc. That's really how you combat things. Do not let your voice be quieted. Attend stop and frisk rallies. Vote for candidates against it. Become INVOLVED.
If you remain silent, you encourage this "savage" behavior from the cops who often just want to feel someone up.
Follow the constitution. Which says you cannot search without cause. Unless someone is actively committing a crime, the police have no reason to bother them. Period.
I am an avid proponent of following the letter of the Constitution.
However, do you plan on boarding an airplane or going to a professional sports game?
The Constitution also says you have a right to LIFE, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.
We all give up certain rights to protect THE most important one....LIFE. A lot of good all the other rights are to you once you are dead.

Hopefully, you'll survive and not be murdered.....that tends to silence people FOREVER.
The police are not special and they are not deserving of special privileges. Just because you hold a special warm spot in your heart for the pigs doesn't mean everyone else feels the same.
How will more oversight hurt them?
If anything they should welcome it. It will likely help their reputation and make their jobs easier if anything.

The same police that various posters have called pigs were the same ones running into burning buildings to save lives on 9/11, but how quickly we forget. Disgusting.
I'm sorry that my respect for people simply trying to do their job honorably bothers you so much.
Bludy must be a cop. That's the cop mentality: Don't question us or exercise your right to peacefully protest or vote. Just be quiet and take-it.

What kind of message are we sending to our police officers who are putting their lives on the line every day by enacting such aggressive procedures? You're good enough to sacrifice your life, but we still don't trust you, so let's follow you around with cameras. That's some "outstanding" moral support.

I'm not afraid, and by the way, cops cannot prevent murders. All they can do is respond to the crime afterwards and arrest the murderer. Its not like cops have special psychic powers that alert them to when someone is going to do a murder.
