Honestly I don't. Not even sure where kings county community college is (I think it goes by kings and not brooklyn). I'm from queens, so would really only kind of know about that one (at least I know its location). As for diversity, all NYC community colleges would probably have a diverse student body.

I don't think that you are black and Jamaican. you are a troll and I'm ready to call you out on your trollness. Instead, ask for a good urban community to live. You should seek to live among people who inspire you and respect regardless of race.

Who are you to decide for the OP where he should live? Instead of telling people what to ask and where to
live, how about just give him the best answer to your knowledge if you want to help, or ignore him if you
think he is a troll. People should live where ever they feel happy and comfortable. It's their life.

Don't know if we are going back on track but you should try East Flatbush. Crime isn't as bad as people say and the people are friendly. Alot of a Carribean presence there. I was raised in East NY and though it gets some bad slack, it's decent for what you would pay there if you don't mind the lack of food diversity and nightlife. The area is predominately hispanic and black.

That came out of left field.

To the OP, as far as community colleges go, I know of Medgar Evers college. I haven't heard too many good things about it though.

Brooklyn College( Poor man Harvard) would be a good choice if you chose to live in Flatbush. I think the only community college in Brooklyn is KingsBrook and it is pretty far away. You might be able to rent a studio apartment in a private home in East Flatbush. That is what I did several years ago.

Bmcc(Borough of Manhattan Community College) is in Manhattan but it is short train ride and it is a pretty good school.

Try New York City College of Technology.

New York City College of Technology - Home

Downtown Manhattan has BMCC.
