As far as Bed Stuy, it really depends on which part. Eastern side has been experiencing some gentrification for a while, though it still has problems at times. Western side is more hood, hasn't had as much gentrification, and it can be pretty gully at times. One part Western Bed Stuy you may like is Stuyvesant Heights, which is somewhat of a boogie haven (at least for BK). As far as demographics, you will find a good number of Caribbean people in Bed Stuy, but the culture and people still lean very much African American.

i think im gonna look at bed stuy, respect breda can i hit u up if i have anymore questions, u got an email?

The eastern part of Bed-Stuy is very raw, I got lost there one time, it's not a fun place to get lost in. Look at Stuyvesant Heights in the southwest part.

Western Bedstuy, the parts closest to Manhattan, are the parts that have had the most gentrification. Eastern Bedstuy borders Brownsville and it has gentrified less.

Gentrification doesn't make a place less urban.

Maybe, but definitly doesn't make it more urban as population would usually increase.
