Well if the unemployment number means anything, I'd say so. It's at record lows across various ethnic groups.
Unemployment numbers can (and often are) misleading.
United States only lists those who report they are actively seeking work but cannot find as "unemployed". Thus the bums you see in the street, and or living in their parent's basement who aren't looking for work aren't counted.
I meant that there's a chance Latinos from rural areas were oversampled versus their urban counterparts. Trump got a very small percentage of votes in the Latino parts of NYC for instance.
I think Latinos in general tend to be left leaning but generally moderate. Of course there are Latinos with widely varying political opinions, though.
Yes but think of all the Mexican-Americans/Latinos in New Mexico, Texas, etc.
I bet many of them are living in rural areas.
And Mexican-Americans are I believe the largest Latino group in the .S., not the Puerto Ricans and Dominicans in NYC and other cities.
My question was if any of Trump's policies are keeping more jobs in the U.S., rather than going abroad.
To some degree they are. Of course we are still losing some jobs, but his policies have also kept some jobs too. The problem is that the economists will argue that his policies are foolish and will harm the economy. So far it hasn't. I think the economists want to scare Americans into thinking that because it benefits their pockets, not Americans' pockets. They will yell that globalization is good for America because they go home to their nice apartments with money in the bank.

Who told you that? Historically Republicans have been more quick to be protectionists than Democrats. I'm an Independent that leans Republican especially fiscally and I am also a protectionist. I don't think I've ever heard of Democrats being protectionists. Both Obama and Hillary talked a good game, but neither them did much to protect American jobs. The only time Obama did anything was during the too big to fail period, but that was mainly propping up large American companies more than it was the American workers. The last big protectionist that we had was... You guess it Reagan who was a Republican. As much as I liked Bill Clinton, he sat back and let our jobs be shipped right on over the border and overseas.
Of course you would say that, but the fact is unemployment is historic lows, so obviously he's doing something right.
