[quote=illmatic;11603827]I would assume that layoffs would go by reverse seniority order, all that matters is how many guys you have beat, and that actual time OTJ wouldn't mean anything...I could be wrong but I've never heard of a "3 year rule", and think about it, since May '07 we've only had 5 classes

2007- 7 new sanitation worker classes(789 hired)

2008-3 new sanitation worker classes(325 hired)

Since the DCAS became in charge of hiring ...has there ever bein a city freeze...? I dont know when DCAS began controling that....They have to give the new test every 4 years but im sure theres complex issues when in economic hardship but who knows... when did the DCAS start?

my memory could be off, but after May '07, all I remember is 3 classes later that year (Sept./Oct./Nov.) off the old list, and only 2 classes in '08 (July/Aug.) off the new list

Before I suspect DSNY of cooking the books maybe there was a class(2052 list) before Feb 20,2008 when the 6063 list was established.

Thanks for clearing that up, so what about the other 4 classes? "514 sanworkers."can't be sancops or enforcement agents, they have a small workforce.

Like any government agency they fudge the numbers, no big surprise really. We all know that they over hired from 1999-2007.

Deac39: I emailed the DCAS commissioner asking what you did on here, should get a response next week.
