I find this “destroying their health by being inside all day” a funny reason not to stay at home for quarantine. Most people are inside all day at their work (whether you are white collar doing a desk job or blue collar in a factory setting or retail/food service).

Judging from the trail beside my house, more people are outside than ever before walking their dogs or going for bike rides.

I was a Lowe's Chantilly yesterday, I'd say at least 95% of the people there had some kind of face covering on, and everyone was being respectful towards others so that was nice to see.

I think the supermarkets are getting close to overabundance and may have to resort to sales in some categories. Hand sanitizers, toilet paper, paper rolls, pasta, pasta sauce, milk, and eggs are just some of the categories. It's still hard to find disinfecting wipes and cleaning liquids. Frozen pizza and dinners are still being bought, but not to where the shelves are bare.

They need to be preparing their suppliers for the upcoming fall second wave.

From Italy, the amount of virus found in sick patients, the viral load, is getting smaller

The human immune system appears to be destroying more of the virus as it gets warmer.

It's derived from the SARS virus so the mutating into a weaker form is also occurring with COVID.

I made the trip to Culpeper from Herndon, and the traffic on Route 28, 50, 66, and 29 appear to be worse than before the lockdown. There is a lot of construction traffic as the outer suburbs continue the buildout, but I was surprised at the traffic being heavy all the way from Gainesville to Culpeper. They have the social distancing and mask requirements down there in the WalMart. Fashionable masks are also sold in the women's jewelry section.

The price of gasoline upticked 15 cents since I checked on Friday before the trip.

What time of day did you make the trip. I have to go to Charlottesville tomorrow. We’’re planning to leave at 6 am. Right now Google maps shows traffic as light.
