I hope they don't jinx it!

A few of my friends have decided to shave their heads at home until further notice since they get their hair cut very low on the regular anyway. I’ve let mine grow out but I’m going to shave mine since I figure it will be forever before I can get to a barber without a massive wait.

Lucky you

As for me, my hair is starting to go wild and I don't dare do a DIY cut

People are hoarding hair ... opting to do a buzz cut at home

If you mess up a haircut a few times, you eventually end up with a buzz cut.

We went to Safeway and it sure is true --- Lots of off brand paper towels and TP. However, they did have some Bounty paper towels, which I was sure to buy

As of 1 pm, there was an abundance of paper products at Giant and Safeway, including name brands like Charmin, Scott, and Bounty. The shelves are 60 to 80 percent full. The off-brand single-roll toilet paper is now being discounted heavily to 33 cents a roll to get rid of them. That is probably a decent discounted price since they tend to be small.

There is still a shortage of cleaning liquids and wipes.

Most everything that was short, such as frozen vegetables, dinners, meats, etc. are in good supply. I saw the pancake mixes are starting to come back, but I didn't check the other baking supplies, such as flour and sugar. I saw red tea for the first time in a month. Pasta and pasta sauce are available, but not in abundance until you look at the expensive ones.

“ Nearly 860,000 additional travelers flocked to parts of Maryland and Virginia over the weekend as the states began to reopen Friday, according to researchers tracking smartphone data. Many of those travelers were from the Washington suburbs, which remained shut down due to their significantly higher coronavirus caseloads, the data shows.”

I went to order food this evening and noticed a 20% service charge on food to be picked up. I checked the main page of their website and they said it went “to support restaurant staff.” While I absolutely support that idea, it was worded so vaguely that I couldn’t be sure whether it was going directly to staff or not. I decided against ordering entirely. Super bummed.
