There are no chick cars, just some insecure drivers. If you are unsure of your masculinity, then maybe you should care about it. Otherwise, Buy the damn car you like -- that's the ultimate guy thing to do.
Exactly!
If someone is so insecure about his masculinity that he has to be careful about what car he drives, then his problems are far too deep-seated to be dealt with in an online forum.
If you are truly secure with your masculinity, you will not care about what others might think about your car's "gender image".
On the other hand, if you are really insecure about your status as a man, then you had better be careful about...the clothes that you wear, the books and magazines that you read, the foods that you eat, the friends with whom you socialize, the websites that you visit, and...essentially all other aspects of your horribly insecure existence.
And, as to Fiat's alleged lack of reliability, I have to point out that this marque has not been sold in The US for...at least 30 years...possibly longer. If you don't want GM, Ford, Chrysler, Nissan, or Toyota to be judged on the basis of some of the automotive disasters that they marketed 30 years ago, then you shouldn't be trashing Fiat on the basis of their models from 30 years ago.
Things change over time in the automotive world and in most other areas, and smart people look for empirical data before they assume that nothing has changed from the past.
I went by the farm the other day. None of the chicks has fiat 500s. I did see a few roosters hanging around one last week, though. Maybe not a chick car after all.

Ha! ha! Well stated!
The above statement reminds me of how some "shrimpy" guys (or guys insecure about their manhood) drive Ford F-450's with the dangling truck nuts in the back.
Honestly, I think it's because the only people I know who like and drive them are women.
But in reality, people should pick the car they like the best.
Never saw the point in buying something to please other people.
Unless, of course, it is a present for them...LOL.

We have 11 chicks in our bathrtub. 6 of them drive Fiat 500s. I am concerned that the other 5 are Roos. I hope not, we generally just kill the Roos when the kids are away. Maybe they just cannot afford a 500, they are pretty pricy. Perhaps they are holding out for a Miata.
I really don't understand the appeal of this car, man or woman.
A lot of gearheads (male) love the car, I'm guessing for it's go-kart ride and all that.
I guess after owning (and still owning a Mini) I'm kinda over that whole segment of cars.
