Good morning everyone. A couple of Australian-flavoured questions for you today!
Today’s Question(s):
Have you ever visited Australia? If yes, what did you like best and what did you like least about it?
If no, is it on your ‘bucket list’? I won’t get upset if you say it’s not!
Extra Credit Question:
If the Travel Fairy could magically transport you to Australia at no cost, and with no flying or jet lag, what would you most like to see?
Native animals – koalas, kangaroos, wombats, emus, kookaburras, etc.
Beaches
Great Barrier Reef
Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Sydney
Melbourne
Outback
Other:
Bonus Question:
John F. Kennedy was assassinated on this day in 1963. Are you old enough to remember the event?
Most people who are old enough, remember where they were and what they were doing when they heard the news. Where were you, and what were you doing?
Just for Fun:
What would you rather do? (a) Play a round of golf on a pleasantly warm day - or
(b) Ride a snowmobile on a freezing cold day
Today in History:
1842 Mount St. Helens in Washington erupts 1910 Arthur Knight patents steel shaft golf clubs 1927 First snowmobile patent granted to Carl Eliason 1956 16th modern Olympic games opens in Melbourne, Australia 1963 John F. Kennedy assassinated
Today’s Word:
Poltroon \pol-TROON\ , noun;
1. A wretched coward; craven.
adjective:
1. Marked by utter cowardice.
Today Is:
Clean Up the Earth Day
National Knee Day
National Nut Day
Have you ever visited Australia? If yes, what did you like best and what did you like least about it? Australia along with Antarctica are the only continents I have not been to.
If no, is it on your ‘bucket list’? I won’t get upset if you say it’s not! Hopefully some day. The airline I work for does fly there from time to time.
Extra Credit Question:
If the Travel Fairy could magically transport you to Australia at no cost, and with no flying or jet lag, what would you most like to see?
Native animals – koalas, kangaroos, wombats, emus, kookaburras, etc.

Other: I am open to suggestions. I would like to see the Opera House.
Bonus Question:
John F. Kennedy was assassinated on this day in 1963. Are you old enough to remember the event? Yes I am (just barely)
Most people who are old enough, remember where they were and what they were doing when they heard the news. Where were you, and what were you doing? Not really sure
Just for Fun:
What would you rather do? (a) Play a round of golf on a pleasantly warm day - or
(b) Ride a snowmobile on a freezing cold day At one time I would have said ride a snowmobile. Now I would have to pass on both. Doing anything outside on a freezing cold is no longer fun. Knocking a tiny ball around a field has never been on my list of fun things to do.

If yes, what did you like best and what did you like least about it? ~ ....yeah, right.........Santy Claus.........
If no, is it on your ‘bucket list’? I won’t get upset if you say it’s not! ..............it's right up there, right after "Go visit Atlantis"!
Extra Credit Question: Yayyy! I will have mashed potatoes with our turkey dinner now!

Just for Fun:
What would you rather do? (a) Play a round of golf on a pleasantly warm day - or
(b) Ride a snowmobile on a freezing cold day

I don't have a "bucket list," but absolutely would love to visit Australia! Extra Credit Question:

Native animals – koalas, kangaroos, wombats, emus, kookaburras, etc.

Other: I would ask someone who lives there to plan for me, letting them know I prefer country to city. Bonus Question:
John F. Kennedy was assassinated on this day in 1963. Are you old enough to remember the event? I was in elementary school.
Most people who are old enough, remember where they were and what they were doing when they heard the news. Where were you, and what were you doing? I don't remember where I was. I just remember the sadness everyone around me felt.
Just for Fun:
What would you rather do? (a) Play a round of golf on a pleasantly warm day - or ...... neither really, but given these choices I'd take the warm day. My ex played golf. I drove the cart, looked around at the mountains and payed little attention to the game.
It's the last day of school before Thanksgiving break & I'm in a meeting all afternoon. I hope you all have a better day planned!
Good morning everyone. A couple of Australian-flavoured questions for you today!
Nice to see some international flavor!
Today’s Question(s): Have you ever visited Australia? No, but I'd like to. If no, is it on your ‘bucket list’? At the 1984 World's Fair in New Orleans the Australia exhibit made me want to visit. Still want to, but easier said than done.
Extra Credit Question: If the Travel Fairy could magically transport you to Australia at no cost, and with no flying or jet lag, what would you most like to see? Native animals – koalas, kangaroos, wombats, emus, kookaburras, etc.
Beaches Great Barrier Reef Uluru (Ayers Rock) Sydney Melbourne Outback Other: Equally cool stuff I know nothing about.
I'd like to see all of the above. If I have to choose one? That's a tough choice. I'd like to see some of the natural things, but I also like cities. I'm thinking the barrier reef includes the beach. The animals, many anyway, include the outback. I can see beaches anywhere in the world. So I can whittle it down to the outback animals, with a guide of course, or a visit to Sydney. That's as close as I can whittle.
Bonus Question: John F. Kennedy was assassinated on this day in 1963. Are you old enough to remember the event? I wasn't born.
Most people who are old enough, remember where they were and what they were doing when they heard the news. Where were you, and what were you doing?
I only know what my family's experience was. To say they were upset is putting it mildly.
I was born in Dallas some years later and grew up in a suburb there. I also grew up with the idea from some that "Dallas killed Kennedy." That's just not right. He was our president, too.
Just for Fun: What would you rather do? (a) Play a round of golf on a pleasantly warm day - or (b) Ride a snowmobile on a freezing cold day
Another good question/tough choice! If I felt like relaxing, golf. If I was up for something more energetic, the snowmobile.
Today, I'll take the golf.
Today Is:
Clean Up the Earth Day okay
National Knee Day
National Nut Day Have a nutty day.

Most people who are old enough, remember where they were and what they were doing when they heard the news. Where were you, and what were you doing? I was in elementary school and when they announced it a few teachers started crying and it was so quiet in the building you could hear a pin drop. I think they sent us home early too.
