I'm so old I remember when school lunches were meals made from scratch and really something to look forward to.

In 6th grade (1957) our school built a new addition and we got our first cafeteria.

Two head cooks were hired and they were great 1

Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, meat loaf, macaroni casserole ( hot dish) salmon loaf

Everything made from scratch!

These two cooks got hired in summers to cook for weddings .

Nothing at all like today's school lunches where the words " nuggets" and " patties" seems to dominate .

I remember magazines had a short story in every issue. Occasionally it was a 2-part story but mostly complete in one issue.

Five dollar adult admissions to Disneyland back in the 60’s. My last trip as a senior citizen recently set me back 120.00 bucks.
