I sell BINGO cards at the local senior center & today one woman held up the entire line for about ten minutes because she demanded that "her" card have a 66 and a 75 on the same page & it took that long to find one .
If it means so much to her, very nice of you to help the lady get the card she wanted. Bingo might be the highlight of her life.
"A University of California economist Emmanuel Saez has published a new study that shows that in 2011, 93% of US income growth went to the wealthiest 1% of American households, while everyone else divvied up the remaining 7%". Sickening but we all new it even without any studies being done. Its scary to think what things will be like in another few years. Will people even be able to afford to drive to work. The hardest hit are the ones with the least, the working poor. American Chronicle | THE 99% vs the 1% IS FOUND TO BE TRUER THAN EVER
You guys travel so much, Dave. I hate planes and the hassle of all of it. Its not fun anymore. And long trips in the cattle car aren't fun at all either. How long a flight is it to Vegas from there? I recall I flew from Lincoln, Nebraska to London on a charter flight one time, I think that was about 12 hrs, if I'm remembering right. It was an awful flight, back when they allowed people to smoke. I had such a headache from that by the time we got there. My longest flight was to Cape Town. I was wedged between a Japanese guy that spoke no English and a huge guy that needed 2 seats for himself. So much for conversation.
That's great! Not a bad life at all! With the travel and everything she does, I hope I have the same abilities at her age! She's a wonderful example for the elderly!
