We have been sold out..for years now, you all have too, Dave. As the baby boomers retire those without enough will live have a scary time in retirement. Some in that spot will exit and look for another country where they can get more for their money. I'd be one looking to move if I didn't have the pets to consider. That's amazing the prices and the amount in assistance paid. I wonder how much that same place would have cost in 70's or 80's. I was over in London in the last 70's and in the 80's. I thought about being a cop over there at one time, I really liked it there. Speaking of Gilligan's Island, sometimes I think a place like that would be the way to go.
I agree things are nuts. Here's an example, building new stadiums for the multimillionaire pro sports players to use and expect all the people should be taxed to get it built. That's one of things I find crazy and stupid. When millionaires are the political leaders you can't expect they care or relate to the common man. If there are any sounds of caring, its gotta be an election year.
One of my pet peeves is young couples selling their 2400 sq ft 3 bedroom house because now that they're having a baby the place is too small.
I wonder how all those families in small 2 bedroom city rowhouses managed for 150 years?

Earlier as I was crossing the street, a male on a bicycle was coming towards me a bit too close so I managed to move out of the way ... He was texting while riding his bike in the crosswalk
That sidewalk just gave way and anyone stepping on it would have fallen in. Scary! I worry about those huge flushing grates that are in the streets here and there. I would rather I didn't ever have to drive a tire right across one just in case the support system is worn away and it falls in!
I'll make this short: Last fall a couple of guys came to clean the gutters & downspouts. In the process they managed to rip 4 downspout brackets out of the siding, cracking the siding in several places. Also, the rain water doesn't flow well from the spouts so that tells me they didn't clean the downspouts. So after filing a complaint 3 weeks ago a guy just showed up.
A simple call ahead of time would have been appreciated - clearly this guy is an idiot. After working out in the yard all day I was just ready to step into a bath when POUND POUND POUND on the door. I almost POUNDED him on his empty head.
Woo hoo! I just realized that a fraudulent charge has been hitting a credit card since January!
I have a card with Capital One, don't use it but still have a balance so making monthly payments. I pay online and have been paying no attention to the detail since I don't use the card. $29.99 being charged each month.
So just got off the phone with Cap One and account closed but I have to go through the process with a form, etc. Statements show the charge from: "FamilySafe." The lady I spoke with said they show the "type" of charges as Dating & Escort Services.
This is scary. Last year I suddenly started getting statements on another credit card with a zero balance and not used for a long time. So the criminals are digging deep and gathering this type of info. Someone also tried to hack my checking account but BofA caught it. Bless BofA!
Take a look at all your credit and debit card accounts!
