I still need to check out Wingharts. I've done Burgatory already and liked it a lot.

The two times I went were 4 bleu cheese variations on the menu out of I think 7 burgers offered. I recall asking Shipwreck about that on the first visit and he said they just love bleu cheese. So I guess I wasn't the only one who asked for other options.

The menu's been the same forever, unless you went twice in early opening weeks before they finalized it? I don't think there's anything missing on there from early times that I can see. There are 6 burgers plus you can do your own, and one of the 6 has the blue. There's also one with brie, and another has gruyere. Those aren't blue though. The one with blue does have both dry blue cheese plus blue cheese dressing.

But definitely every restaurant should have a guy like Shipwreck. Since I've only been at lunch I haven't seen him recently.

I'm old, but I don't think I'm quite crazy yet. Don't recall either a gruyere and certainly not an American cheese option. Wife would've ordered the gruyere.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Well, I am crazy and maybe old too depending upon how one defines it.

I don't remember when I visited in relation to opening, thought it was in the first month but not 100% sure. The menu has been the same as long as I've been going though.

But it doesn't really matter. What matters is the current menu may be more appealing than too many blue cheese options. Winghart's Burger & Whiskey Bar

Pardon me for not reading through all 24 pages, but has anyone tried OTB's burgers? They have vegan burgers, turkey burgers and beef burgers... I haven't met one I didn't like (I'm the veggie burger girl!) also Fathead's, if you're up for 2,000+ calories in one sitting

We ate at The Cafe in Sewickely twice and boy was the food great. Their wraps were huge and excellent.

Also ate at the Church Brew. the food was also pretty good.

Great write up of E2 in Highland Park....one thing that stuck out to me is all of the Patrons interviewed were transplants and 1 native that moved away to the PNW and just boomeranged home.

Another place I must try when I come home.

Quote:
“e2 is one of our favorite places to come to eat for dinner or brunch,” frequent customer Deborah, a native New Yorker who’s lived in Pittsburgh for the last three years, said in a testimonial with her husband. “We think e2 is an important restaurant in Pittsburgh because it brings together all the things about eating that are important, and it puts the focus on the food and the people. It’s not a pretentious place, and it’s a family-inspired way of living…you feel good when you come to e2. And the food happens to be really good which helps.”

Manager Jason Thomas explains that it’s these kinds of reviews drive the restaurant’s business.

“Word-of-mouth is so popular; people go here to have a great time, eat until they can’t move, and they go home and tell their friends,” Thomas tells me earnestly over the phone.*

I noticed last night on their website that Burgatory is opening a location in the former Scoglio's at the Pointe at North Fayette, next to Chipotle and Panera. I think it will do well there given the amount of shoppers in the Robinson area.
