A more telling number would be the number of teeth in attendance.

Because he is insane.

I already know that.

Why join him in his insanity by doing something over and over again and expecting a different outcome?
You have seen all those things you mentioned in clips from Media Matters or some such place and yet you don't want to take a chance on seeing him talk without the act. Hang in there with your liberal shield and maybe you can remain pure.

In aereal photos of "the Beck triumph" you can see large areas of grass. The audience in some areas appears to be very dense, such as the area alongside of the pool. But in most areas the density is much lower, and that is what leads me to believe the audience is in the 300,000 range.

I was born a few years after Woodstock. Not sure what that has to do with anything.
Having lived through the whole era that Woodstock was a part of I imagine I saw more unedited pictures of the whole thing. I am saying only that I saw pictures that showed people "camping out" with their blankets and even pup tents and that took lots of shoulder room to do. Of course, I knew that it went on for several days and people just don't stand that closely packed for days let alone many hours.

And it's not the 'untruth', but rather the sprinkling of untruths in a talk about the truth. By sneaking in the lies, and then padding them with truth it makes it easier for people to believe what he's saying.

No, I don't trust ANY talk show hosts, left right or otherwise.
Sounds like you are describing Obama. And you are right, it's all about ratings, with the Obomb, but Beck is becoming so popular because of Obama failing so badly. Before Obama became president, I have never heard of Glenn Beck.

Just because the competing media, IE: newspapers and other TV networks didn't treat it as the second coming of Christ as Beck would have liked doesn't equate to biased reporting.
Ah, you're just a hater and obviously misinformed. That is all that needs to be said about your post.

Sounds more like you might need to count the teeth in your family photo album with an ignorant remark like that.

No, Beck is popular because there is a huge segment of the population that is uninformed and *needs* something to be afraid of, something to latch onto and feel included. These are the same people that think they're clever by referring to Obama as 'Obamao', '0bama', or 'Obomb'... they're also the same people that fear 'socialism' without actually knowing what it means...or fear 'death panels' because a talking head came up with it. It's all about fear and people are falling for it hook line and sinker. You hear people yelling that they need to 'take their country back'...take it back from what exactly? I have yet to get a decent answer for that.

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
