You stated that parents have no control and your daughter would still be on drugs if she were in a public school. What is one to infer from this comment?
well if you could read and actually comprehend what you read it would clearly say My daughter WOULD get it would have been and STILL get it still be on drugs . now what part of WOULD do you still need explained to you. another product of the gov school system
In a perfect world perhaps. Plenty of parents are ignorant when it comes to psychiatric disorders and treatment. Furthermore, plenty of people, parents included, take the medical advice of physicians as gospel.
I'm just telling you what the law is. The fact remains a physician or a school system cannot force a child to take medication without the parents consent. Now whether the parent accepts the medical advice of a physician as gospel is a different issue entirely.
More of that compassionate liberal tolerance I see on this thread. Bash the people that want to homeschool. Quite the bigoted statement, since *******s are all about this fuzzy, warm, bleeding heart multiculturalism that strives to celebrate our differences . They condemn Republicans for wanting everyone to conform and *******s want everyone to be different and tolerant. Yet all I see on here is bigoted statements from the Left. Then again, are we really surprised?

The previous poster was not talking about vaccines, but about medication for ADHD. Two completely different scenarios. Some parents have complained about the vaccine requirements and that can be debated on a different thread. This is about why do Evangelicals home school their kids at a much higher rate than say Catholics, or Jews, or even agnostics?

And if you had any comprehension skills, you would realize that what you are saying is that your daughter WOULD have still gotten those medications WITH YOUR CONSENT!! You just didn't want to admit you consented to the medications because that would mean you were responsible for her taking them. You didn't want to share that part of the story thus you kept avoiding admitting that even after you were asked point blank about it. Instead you implied your daughter was on those medications as a result of the public school system. Like I said, nice try!

I don't have a problem with people wanting to homeschool their children. It is entirely their right to do so. What I have a problem with is the eternal bashing of public schools, and made up fairy tales given as reasons for choosing to do so. If you want to home school, then at least have the guts to say it's because it's what you choose, and you want to do it. I have heard some really wacky stories about why people pulled their kids out of public school, very few are the whole truth.

I pulled her out and will not guess what the final outcome would have been had I not as a parent made my decesion. You can re read this thread all nite for all I care I was being set up for fail for quite a while.the posters most vocal could care less about the topic, they only sensed a missing plate in my armor and went in for the kill.God bless em at least they feel some purpose in life.
