Put aside the ridiculous 10 point chasm in party ID toward the democrat.
CBS/NYT loaded up the poll with 20% coming from union households...but....
Quote:
However, only 11.9% of American workers belong to a union, according to a report published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics last month and noted by none other than the Times itself.
Next, 25% are union members/share a house with a union member....but...
Quote:
Government employment accounts for 17% of all workers, so a sample consisting of 25% public-sector households for a survey of adults (not registered voters) seems a little off.
That's how CBS/NYT got the answer and the headline they wanted. The deceit and yellow journalism is amazing to watch as they try their best to get Walker to back down.
The PPP poll, a democrat pollster, btw.
First, they shorted Walker voters by 6% in the poll.
Second, they included 32% of union households...but in WI, only 26% are union households.
No wonder the shift in the poll was seen from union respondents.
Now remember this bit of bait and switch by MSM pollsters.
The "right" of the public employee unions to demand more money that isn't there? Good luck with that.
Are they going to counterfeit money to pay for it? Or are they going to screw their own neighbors, the WI taxpayers?
How many times do I have to flog this dead horse? The unions have already agreed to give Walker every dime he has asked for concerning salary cuts and benefit payments. The issue is over the worker's right to collectively bargain and an attempt by republicans to strip the democratic party of it's major campaign funding.

I quit trying, because it's not in their interest to deal with facts. If they admit that's the case, they have no legitimate argument to justify what Walker is trying to do.

And how many times do I have to remind you that Walker's plan, including the collective bargaining issue, was KNOWN by WI voters since at least last August?
Quote:
The state's powerful teachers union opposes Walker's plan and is signaling a fight over it if Walker is elected and moves the idea forward.
"Our members oppose taking away their rights to collective bargaining, so they would definitely raise their voices against it," Christina Brey, speaking for the Wisconsin Education Association Council, said of Walker's plan.
That is correct you do not have to hire union workers but then again they do not have to work for you. No one is forcing anyone they are called negotions, even with non-union workers that is a possibility, you just have to do it one on one. The teachers have already agreed to the terms except losing their bargaining rights, so the fight is about unions not money, see how simple that is. Oh, GM is doing real good right now, unions and all, so your arguement fails the test of reality.
Casper
sigh The fight is over money. Without the bargaining rights they will loose a chance at getting more money. See how simple that is? Quit thinking only about right now and think about what both sides are after in the future.
its not about money LMAO.
oh, The reality is you have failed to understand the very simple premise I laid out. Since when, WITH MY MONEY, does GM get preference over another industry and on whose authority?

Reform entails MORE than just financial concessions. You must not have listened to what Walker AND the unions were saying before the election.
