As far as taking a Dick Morris Poll seriously--I've deliberately avoided data released by the AFL-CIO for the same reason (although the early AFL-CIO poll was pretty consistent with more neutral data)--bias. Here's another local poll done by major media in Wisconsin--61% think Walker should drop the gutting of collective bargaining. The numbers are pretty consistent when you look at a multitude of polls across the state and country--sorry. You don't have the public on your side with this one. The radical end of the republican party (my party) has gone way too far this time. They've lost nearly all the swing voters on this one--the people who win elections and pushed the tea party into power to begin with--not a good sign for the future of the R party.

So what if they really are? Are you denying them the right to support whomever they want? Big business and the Rich can support who they like and they do. And we the people also have the same rights and we do. Is it that you just don't like the Dems getting all that money to fight the Repubs, I think it is, and that is exactly why the Repubs want the unions gone. It is obvious to anyone paying the least bit of attention and several righties have admitted exactly that.

The polls vastly oversamp;ed Democrats. Makes it an unreliable couple of polls.

In any case, there is no money to pay for government union's sweetheart deals.

The tea party is from and into both the Democrat and Republican parties, so they are not one or the other.

The truth--voters have a serious case of buyers remorse in Wisconsin that looks like it's only going to get worse with time if he keeps acting like a dictator vs. a leader. The entire country is watching Walker, and Wisconsin is shaping the public debate on public sector union rights (and state budget cuts) in other states. I've said this before, but if the R's wanted to pick the one issue that would divide their own party, and push moderate R's and Dem's together, this would be it.
He is cutting waste and trying to save his taxpayers money.
If you are talking about dictatorship look to the Liberals in office right now and your president. Because that is what they have been doing ever since your president got into office

Casper, sometimes I wonder if you bother reading what people quote and are responding to at all?

Context is everything.

Pointing out to someone that the Teacher's Union is the top special interest group in the nation was to counter the guy saying that Walker is pandering to special interest groups.

Not only did the poll oversample Democrats, it oversampled UNION people.

You can't call it reliable when you deliberately skew the samples.

Wrong, the few Dems that crossed is typical of voters chaning Parties, Repubs also do it. The Indes are most likely Repubs that had lost faith in their Party. And the Repubs are Repubs, the Tea Party is part of the Republican Party. One simple FACT all politicians elected that align themselves with the Tea Party are Repubs and have an R behind their title. Enough said.
