Everyone already knows that each employee pays their own union dues.
That's not how they mean they are screwing the taxpayer, unless of course you consider that it's still taxpayer money that pays the teacher who in turn pays the dues.
So what is the problem?
I wonder if who sits in the big house is the reason for all of the NOW drastic needed changes. Many will hurt while the attempt to hurt one man continues.
LMAO a poll taken by Dick Morris?? Even the hyper partisan Morris can't produce a poll to show Wisconsin voters backing Walker on the collective bargaining issue
It really is about the special interest edge. In this case it provides for energy buyers, such as the Kochs, to grab assets without having to actually bid against others for them"
sigh
You DO realize that the biggest special interest group in the USA is the teacher's union?
They are the #1 largest contributor of political action funds in the USA.

Ahhhh...but Walker doesn't care about that.
He says they can collectively bargain, but the outcome has to be tied to the COL Index and be subject to a voter's referendum.
On those things, the voters of Wisconsin agree with him.

He is trying to eliminate most Collective Bargaining, that is what all of the protests are about, and in that the public is against him, even in polls conducted by GOP partisans such as Morris

The reason for my post is not pro union as I am anti union.
The reason for my post is to show the corruption about to take place since no bid contracts will be allowed in the private sectors purchase of public utilities, unless this part of the bill is re written.
ps Utility bills will rise.

I mentioned Koch as they donated to Walker and have capital to be a player in that game. Those two things are nothing to arrest someone over no doubt, but it does get my attention.
According to a new Wisconsin poll released today, Scott Walker would only receive 45% of the vote against his former democratic opponent if a new election was held today. The polling firm attributed the shift in support to households in Wisconsin with at least one union member (and I'm guessing the difference is R union homes).
Another national poll released today by CBS/New York Times shows that 57% oppose and only 37% support cutting the pay and benefits of public employees to reduce state budget deficits, and 60% oppose and only 30% favor taking away the collective bargaining rights of public workers.
Scott Walker may be trying to win a battle in Wisconsin, but the R's are losing a war because of it. The public doesn't support these efforts, both in and outside of Wisconsin. Many of you are certain the R's will take the blame if Walker doesn't compromise on the budget bill--according to these numbers, I don't think I'd be so sure.
Why do you think rust-belt states like Wisconsin, Ohio and my home state of Michigan are so hopelessly screwed?
So many people in these states and other like ours vote union.
They believe US companies can compete globally while paying hi-lo drivers $80K/yr plus benefits.
They complain about jobs going to Mexico and China, but they won't give an inch to make doing business in the US profitable.
Carron Industries is a example of what greedy unions (UAW) do to destroy jobs here in Michigan. The equipment was sold and the jobs are gone. These jobs will never return to Michigan or any other pro-union state.
