Well, the poll is accurate for the 768 people queried, however the breakdown of how the respondents voted in the 2010 election was 47% Walker and 47% Barrett. That is not statistically equivalent to the actual 2010 result. The poll's findings are not reliable.
The GOP had a turnout advantage in 2010 no question about that, so the poll results may not match up to those who voted in 2010, but it doesn't mean the poll results do not match up to Wisconsin residents.

The respondents are all WI residents. No doubt about that. But it's too heavily weighted to Barrett voters. The results are not reliable.
I'm surprised these results were even published. It's too easy to see how the poll is biased beyond acceptable limits and therefore flawed.

A 47-47 breakout isn't that far from reality when the election margin was 5.77, when turnout strongly favored one side. The polls heading into 2010 (as well as the exit polls) generally showed Obama with perhaps a 1 point margin, (he won by 7.26)
Yes he has one year before they take him down. A lot of damage can be done in a year.
There are two outcomes here:
1) Walker's plan passes. The state and local governments save money, budget gaps are reduced, taxes don't increase or increase less than they would have
2) Walker's plan doesn't pass. The state and local governments are forced to spend more money on public employee union demands. Draconian cuts in public services are enacted and/or taxes increase even more to pay for the public employee union demands.
Which scenario do the WI taxpayers want?
Get their state and local budgets under control?
Or pay even more taxes for fewer government services because the unions demand more?
Walker and the Republicans are acting in the taxpayers' interest. The public employee unions are greedly acting in their own interest, and have no qualms in screwing the taxpayers.

Giving out no bid contracts, giving wealthy CEO contracts is screwing the taxpayer. $35,000-$40,000 pensions is not screwing the taxpayer. Not to mention the Unions that were exempt from this pretty much all make more than teachers as well as have higher pensions than the teachers.
Obama wouldn't win an election today either...but we're still stuck with him destroying our economy for generations to come.
Obama is leading in virtually all of the polls.....
