YouTube - Abortion Is The Reason Social Security Is Failing! Rick Santorum

This GOP philosophy never made since to me. Outlaw abortion, but then outlaw aid programs to take care of the kids to mothers who otherwise can't afford them (or are too lazy to work).

What is the reason for this? Contraception sometimes fails and a lot of women are irresponsible anyway. For those instances, do we make the women have the kid, and then let the kid starve? It's not like you can force the women to get a job, and even if she does, minimum wage (for low skill women) is not enough for housing and child care.
GOP want's people to take responsibility for their own actions.

Stop making excuses for irresponsible behavior.

So, you want American children starving and begging in the streets like they do in third world countries?

Just to teach their parents a lesson?

Sooooo much love and compassion for fetuses........absolutely none for living, breathing children.

I wish it were so, the procedure was performed for any reason at all. The procedure consists on delivering the baby half way then crushing it's skull. This is what you are defending.

""lobbyist Ron Fitzsimmons, executive director of the National Coalition of Abortion Providers (a trade association of abortion providers), told the New York Times (February 26, 1997): "In the vast majority of cases, the procedure is performed on a healthy mother with a healthy fetus that is 20 weeks or more along.""

Yea, that's it.

Let me get this straight.....

We have the freedom to do what we please. Let me rephrase that....we have the "right" to do what we please, correct?

Do you agree that with rights come responsibility?

When do your "rights" trump my responsibility to you?

You're correct.

VERY rarely is it performed to save a mothers life.

Would YOU give up your life for that of your child? My guess is no.

It's called SELFISHNESS. Pure EVIL.

The problem was and is responsibility.

If a government assumes the responsibility to deal with the consequences of another, that means the TAXPAYER is the one paying the bills. But the TAXPAYER is pitted against the voting RECIPIENT class.

If government was no longer responsible for dealing with the consequences of others, the TAXPAYER would not object, and no RECIPIENT class could outvote him.

Irresponsible behavior begets children, but it is counter productive to reward that behavior, via government subsidy.

If that offends the sensibilities of the socialist thieves and slavers, let them share their own wealth in support thereof. But they have no claim to moral virtue when they advocate thievery by socialist government.

"No one should suffer because they lack {fill in the blank}" should be prefaced with "No one should be compelled to labor for the benefit of another, so that..." because slavery is not an acceptable solution to the ills of mankind.

I have yet to find a socialist who wasn't generous with other people's money.

Voluntary charity is a blessing.
Compulsory charity is a curse.
