I've been all thru Mississippi on numerous occasions. Lotta bigots, some nice people. Overall, state kind of showed me what it would be like to live in the 1950s, except with computers.

Imagine how much worse things were really like back in the 1950s, it was probably terrible. It may still be like that in certain areas of rural Mississippi though.

I married my asian wife while I was in the Army, we had to live on post because the state where I was stationed our marriage was not legal. I was happier to stay overseas and leave the bigots here.
Lucky for us the Supreme Court ruled those laws Unconstitutional
I"ve put up with not being served in resturants and the other crap these supposed Christians inflict.
I wouldn't live there on a bet

Yeah, I like certain aspects of the 50s, like better manners and moral values. People dressed and looked nicer too.

Why didn't they poll Mississippi Democrats while they were at it? The results don't mean anything without being compared to Democrats and perhaps, Independents. It's just noise signifying nothing. How stupid do they think we are?

So pervasive racism and discrimination against people of color was "better manners and better moral values"?

Appeal to tradition is a bit of a fallacy.

"Moral Values." Of course. Typical Southern attitude.
