That's a fair answer. I was referring to your post earlier in the thread where you said,

If Herman Cain wants to be a shill for Conservative America that's his perogative. But I have yet to see a Black American in the Conservative movement that basically used as a poster child to say "We Actually Have A Black Person That Supports Us" that wasn't eventually cast aside once they served their designated purpose. Michael Steele, Colin Powell, Condalezza Rice and J.C Watts was all perfect examples of this.

exactly. You don't need 20/20 vision to see why blacks don't vote for republicans, let alone the tea party. the tone of many Republicans regarding black culture and black people in general has never been a welcoming one. the condescension and vitriol that drips from many comments from the right would turn them away. just look at how they talk about Obama. look at some of the comments on this forum you attract more bees with honey and the rhetoric from the right is like vinegar...smelly, bitter, and you can see right through it

I understand. Like you, I'm not a big fan of either party.

That's all thet needed to be said. It's obvious the truth about this stuff embarasses you so you need to try and justify all of it. Don't worry though, you're not alone...

I'm still waiting to see proof where the Democratic Party is enslaving black people to a plantation. Until I see some actual evidence, Herman Cain is a liar.

You post is totally false and points to an appalling ignorance you have on this issue. In the past 50 years the number of Black Americans living below the poverty line barely increased, while the overall population of Black Americans has more than doubled.

According to the U.S Census Bureau in 1959 there were 18.013 million Black Americans and 9.927 million lived below the poverty line or 55% of the population. In 2009 there were 38.556 million Black Americans and 9.944 million Black Americans lived below the poverty line or just about 25%. In fact aside from Asian Americans no other ethnic or racial group has had a greater reduction on poverty.

Also when it comes to presidential administrations Democratic presidential administrations have done a much better job of reducing pvoerty for ALL Americans when compared to Republican presdential administrations.

Bush 43
Americans Below The Poverty Level
2001 - 32.907 million 2008 - 39.829 million - increase 21.04%

Overall Population Growth
2001 - 281.475 million 2008 - 301.041 million - increase 6.95%

During the Bush 43 Administration poverty INCREASED three times faster than rate of population growth.

Clinton
Americans Below The Poverty Level
1993 - 39.265 million 2000 - 31.581 million - decrease 19.57%

Overall Population Growth
1993 - 259.278 million 2000 - 278.944 million - increase 7.58%

During the Clinton Administration poverty DECREASED 2.5 faster than the population grew.

Reagan
Americans Below The Poverty Level
1981 - 31.822 million 1988 - 31.745 million - decrease 0.24%

Overall Population Growth
1981 - 227.157 million 1988 - 243.53 million - increase 7.21%
During the Reagan Administration poverty was relatively flat compared to population growth.

Nixon-Ford
Americans Below The Poverty Level
1969 - 24.147 million 1976 - 24.975 million - increase 3.43%

Overall Population Growth
1969 - 199.517 million 1976 - 212.303 million - increase 6.41%

During the Nixon - Ford Administrations poverty INCREASED about half as fast as the population grew.

Kennedy-Johnson
Americans Below The Poverty Level
1961 - 39.628 million 1968 - 25.389 million decrease 35.93%

Overall Population Growth
1961 - 181.277 million 1968 - 197.628 million increase 9.02%

During the Kennedy-Johnson Administration poverty DECREASED about four times faster than the population grew.

Only the ones who vote for Democrats expecting something to actually get better for themselves, didn't I already say that?
