Most of the posts on this board are either right wing or extreme right wing. There are relativly few posters in the center or to the left. I usuall feel like a leftist voice in a right wing wilderness.
Not to mention that many so called left posters are very conservative in many of their views.
I've actually heard some pretty far right wing posters call themselves centrist.
Why then, the perception that the board leans right? Two reasons:
1) Liberals love to be victims - "Oh those biiiiig baaad conservatives are thuch (lisping) bullies!!!"
2) Conservatives are capable of making a rational argument grounded in facts and logic, which amplifies the perception of their presence. In other words, the people who have a brain get noticed.
I lean right but this forum has a small army of very outspoken leftists who are relentless with their bashing of conservatives, conservative organizations and politicians and especially conservative spokespeople, e.g. Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Sarah Palin, etc.
The Perry bashing threads have already started, too--gearing up for his coming announcement that he will enter the presidential race.
how can the majority of people who answered the poll lean left and think that the board is dominated by the right? makes no sense when the right are outnumbered. i think people are in denial around here.
by the sheer numbers people on the right are outnumbered nearly 2 to 1.
Nobody likes to be identified as far right. They know it taints their credentials. It's like being called a Sl*t or H0#O in high school.
I like to be called far right. I don't care what anybody thinks about me. Although when I take political tests I score on the border of right wing and libertarian.
