Okay but that says that there are more people on the left in this forum but they think it leans right.

That doesn't make a lot of sense.

Sure it makes sense. It means this thread has a liberal bias and that liberals on this forum are not very self-aware.

That's what I said a few pages back.

This poll is purely subjective. The lefties posting on this poll outnumber the righties 2:1, yet they say the "board leans right". Makes no sense. I guess in order for them to think the "board leans left", that ratio would have to be 10:1, and even that would be in question.

That explains why they're always for more government because they're always feeling under represented.

Or it means that the right-wing people are just much louder, aggressive, and extreme, which makes more people realize their presence

One look at the overview site of the politics forum leaves a pretty right-wing impression.

Any statistics or is that just your subjective impression as you find the board not right-wing enough?

Last time I checked (which was last week) the ratio actually WAS about 2:1 Left v Right. Sorry. I had not actually looked at the latest polling numbers. Right leaners have tightened the ratio.

This poll IS purely subjective. The questions are posed as to who leans which way and does one think the board leans Left or does it lean Right. I had, in the past, thought there were more righties here than lefties but I had thought (and still do) that the lefties were quicker to lob insults and play the race card.

Actually, at this snap shot in history, it may.

It's gone back and forth a few times since I've gotten here.

The USA leans to the Conservative side of the isle, so it would be fair to say, this forum has a Conservative tone to the majority.

There are too many on this board, that don't understand the difference in a Constitutional Conservative Like Ron Paul, to a Progressive Lite RINO, like Romney & Perry. They lump all the Republicans into the same pile.

The common denominator in the destruction of our Constitution, by going under, around and over to pass legislation(pelosi quote) is that little Progressive mindset.

The thread topic is subjective, but your statement regarding the ration between right and left-leaning people is not. Is there a poll on that?
Anyway, if the ratio is 2:1, it would confirm my theory that people on the right compensate their numerical minority by means of more aggression and extremism. I mean, I have read many outright racist, militaristic, nationalist, and fascist posts here, but I can't remember having read any outright communist posts or anything like that.
I think the average left-leaning person is not as far from the center as the average right-leaning person.
