Do you really think that if we abolished the EPA that the American people would allow filthy air to exist?

Not likely.

Democrats in this country attach unfair regulations to businesses and stifle our economy.

Yes, certain regulations make sense, but when you consider the funding to the EPA, highly influenced by tree huggers, and how un-beneficial it has been, you must admit that has been a big waste of money.

Jobs are lost because owl lovers won't let people thrive.

But you still would support regulating the exact same pollutants just as the EPA is doing currently?

It completely blows their mind. They literally can't accept the fact that under George W. Bush public sector hiring was up and private sector hiring plummeted and now under Obama the public sector is shedding jobs and the private sector is adding jobs. It causes their worldview to collapse.

So what you're saying is that the people against defense cuts are opposed because it would cause unemployment in red state America--that's why they want the cuts from other federal departments, even if those departments are much more efficiently run, and with much less waste?

EDIT--meaning federal jobs are great if they benefit my "side", and bad if they don't?

your looking at it the wrong way

its not the EPA, its the regulations

our liberal government loves to OVER regulate...but that doesnt mean get rid of the branch, or the regulation..we need to SMARTLY regulate

republicans tend to UNDER regulate which leads to conmen...liberal tend to OVER regulate which leads to a stiffled economy

dont get rid of the EPA..but SMARTLY regulate

just like the D.o. education..we do need it as far as the grant side..and the STANDARD side...but do we need 7000 DoE employees or would be be better with a committe of 15 SCHOLARS to set the standard for the states to follow and inplement

Yes, let's do less regulating of chemicals and pollutants that cause birth defects and health problems. Good idea.

As Ron White says, you can't fix stupid.

Absolutely, what do you think lobbying for federal tax dollars is all about? In good times, everyone gets to hog as much as they can. In tough times, as now, lobbyists are busy eating into each other's share regardless of the merits of the project. Why the heck do you think there are ads for TWO different engines for the F-35 JSF all over DC? Do you need two companies to manufacture an engine for one jet? Do you even need the jet? The money has to come from some pot.
