It's been mentioned on Fox that not all presidents mentioned God, and those that omitted it were even named. No kidding. You wouldn't know if you don't watch Fox at least some of the time. Those were not big issues at the time. Like 'em or not, we knew who they were and where they stood.
I think what makes this an issue is way this President has set the stage by things he has said and done, so that it only underscores and reinforces the doubts that people have about his faith or lack thereof.
Amidst all of the American flags and presidential seals, there was something missing when President Barack Obama gave an economic speech at Georgetown University this week -- Jesus.
The White House asked Georgetown to cover a monogram symbolizing Jesus' name in Gaston Hall, which Obama used for his speech, a pediment in the hall was covered over by a piece of black-painted plywood, and remained covered over the next day,

Reason: spelling
Number one, "If you want the facts" is a statement, you don't end it with a question mark. Number two, you're coming off like a psychotic televangelist. You are the reason the liberals on this forum are referring to Christians as "crazy", "believing in fairly tales", and "in a cult". Please stop.

And we get the 'view' from the left....coast! Truth hurts, right, pal?
The guy's actions (lack of) speak loud and clear to wise folks!
I don't like what he's done in office... but I'm not surprised that he's wise enough to live in reality unlike the religious buffoons worshipping their fairy-tale creatures.

Proclamation of National Thanksgiving was made by George Washington
October 1789.
In it, Washington also beseeched God "to pardon our national and other transgressions, to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually, to render our national government a blessing to all the people, by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed..."
Wonder what happened...that's not a government I recognize as being much like what we have today.
Maybe because over the years we allowed God to become marginalized by nonsense called political correctness, to the point where the mention of God is attacked on every occasion in the public arena and the rights of non-believers become more important than those of believers.
For someone who made the sign of the cross over the turkey he pardoned to not mention God with reference to Thaksgiving shows some confused thinking.
A good example of the various idiotic references to this fairytale creatures by on of your leaders.
Thanksgiving has little religious connotations. It's mainly about Indians teaching Pilgrims to farm. Get over yourselves.
