Exactly. The GOP is planning to earmark the snot out of the bill with right wing pork projects. They are saying the GOP might shut it's own bill down, let alone it passing the senate.
Obama is just making it clear to the GOP to stop playing games and he will veto any trash bill from them that makes it to his desk.
I see Obama as trying to make sure that if Dirty Harry can't swing the trashing of this bill they know he will if it gets to him. You have to get a bit educated about all the games they play. It is now a game of Dirty Harry against anything that is not Democrat originated. Oh yeah.

I already knew it will never get past the Senate, that has been the operating method of the Repugs in the House for the last two years, pass Partisan Bills that they know will never get past the Senate then claim they are trying to do something. As for agreements, isn't the Repugs that keep saying NO Compromise

You seem to have overlooked the fact that the last committee was very close to agreement, with the Dems agreeing to lots of cuts, but only on the condition that the tax CUTS for the rich be dropped, and we know how that ended, don’t we Roy.

At this point, it would have the effect of increasing taxes, NOT ending cuts.
