Kind of helps to have when confronting suspected criminals.

Some people are so racist and delusional that they have no problem justifying that which makes absolutely no sense. Sad isn't it?
The answer would be no...Unless the follower was doing something illegal (i.e. physically assaulting you) a police officer would not be able to arrest that person, maybe question him|her and tell the person to back off... also keep in mind a call about someone following you probably would not bring about a quick response...

What we had is a drug using youth, with frequent school suspensions, who was caught with a burglary tool and women's jewelry and who bragged about assaulting a school bus driver initially portrayed as an angelic 13 year old and a tape purposely edited to put Zimmerman in a bad light in the grossest case of a violation of journalistic integrity I have ever seen.

And to date, no one has suggested that Trayvon Martin was doing anything but walking back to the house he was visiting, talking to his girlfriend on the phone. Zimmerman assumed that Trayvon was "up to no good," but even in the call that Zimmerman made, he didn't say that he'd
seen Trayvon doing anything other than walking slowly and "looking about." That's perfectly legal. Martin had been watching the NBA All Star Game and went to the convenience store...that seems like very normal activity for anyone. Here's a timeline posted by justNancy that covers the activity of both parties according to Zimmerman's call. If you read it, you'll see that things happened very quickly. It's the best job that I've seen yet of coordinating the 911 calls and the outcome.
This is some of the most brilliant and cogent analysis I have seen on this event to date. Zimmerman's defense quite likely contains the seeds of its own demise.
Of course its political. The media and its progressive clients wanted to make this an issue that would benefit their agenda. Without checking the facts (just like they didn't do in the Tucson shootings) they jumped in and tried to paint this as a racist white man kills black child thing. Of course we know now that Zimmerman is an Hispanic Democrat.
Baloney. Trayvon Martin's parents had to raise the roof to get any response from the Sanford PD...that's when the media picked up the story...weeks after the killing. Again, Zimmerman is mixed race: White, Black and Hispanic. His politics mean nothing, unless you're suggesting that the Republican authorities in Florida are persecuting him due to his political affiliation.

Would you have preferred that the media focus on Zimmerman's domestic violence, assault on a LEO and inability to hold a job due to his volatility?
Wrong. If someone is following me, even if they appear to be non-threatening, and I believe they are following me specifically, I can call the police and within a very short time you'll be stopped. If I tell the police you have been following me, and it concerned me enough to call 911, you better believe you're going to jail.

Yes, they had to use propaganda to rile up the public against Zimmermen. A media lynching they succeeded at. Give them props for that.

It's all in the call that Zimmerman made requesting the police and his history of targeting Blacks, to the point that one resident there was afraid to even walk in his own neighborhood. At least I'm not basing my opinions on the word of a proven liar.
