I've never really related to the Target cult because I don't really think they're appreciably nicer than K-Mart or other similar stores.

On the other hand, this is an incentive to shop there.

It's easy to see why Target and Wal-Mart sell items "promoting the gay agenda". Same reason they sell items that promote things that are actually bad (violence, drug use, sexual promiscuity, etc.)

Because they know you have the ability and inclination to eventually get over it and come back to their store.

Yes, even the conservatives.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll pay closer attention.

Oh, c'mon! You're really gonna start doing all these things now? Fine, I guess, if you got a full day to waste just preparing to buy a soda at the nearest convenience store

I think these companies have realized that these right wing groups are no different than PETA on the left (they are small and loud). They probably also realized that their boycotts mean nothing.

People on the left and the right just don't care about this crap in sufficient numbers to make these fringe boycotts meaningful.

There are tons of major companies that market to gays by the way.

At this point, I have to wonder if these groups are plants - every time they whine about something featuring a gay person, the company's image actually improves in the eyes of the general public... Or at least the people who shop there, I suspect the anti-gay demographic trends towards Walmart and away from Target and JC Penney.
