This country is so polarized, and political allegiance is so strongly pledged, that people are divorced from objective rationale for the sake of their own political fanaticism. It's always sad to witness people not really thinking for themselves; did anyone choose to even listen to or read the entire message before writing it off as something it clearly wasn't?
Yep it's like the days of the civil war. It would be interesting for democrats to live on one side of the country and republicans to live on the other side.
Democratic united states
Republican United States
Which country would you want to live in?
What would life be like in each country?
Which country would have to put up barrier to keep the other side out?
I think we can all agree on one thing. Obama is essentially anti-American at his core. He doesnt agree with how this country was founded, sees the Constitution as flawed, and just doesnt agree with the real American way of life.
really? You have quotes to support that, or is this just something you pulled out of a lower digestive tract orifice?

He has repeatedly stated that he wants to "fundamentally transform the United States of America". You must have a fundamental disagreement with something, if you to want to fundamentally transform it.
Why would it be appropriate to say that when that didn't actually happen? Doesn't seem to follow along with his "it takes a village" theme.
Did Steve Jobs personally develop the iPhone?
Did Bill Gates personally develop Windows 7?
What Obama said, what he actually said, not the GOP spin, is much light the little offering prayer they say at my church...
We drink from wells we did not dig.
We have been warmed by fires we did not build.
We shelter ourselves under trees we did not plant.
We light this chalice in thanksgiving for those who passed their light to us.
Without the foundation laid by those that came before us, your achievements would not be possible.
The President is "agressive" on foreign policy. That's an issue about which there's absolutely no debate in the foreign affairs community. If the military had, for whatever reason, failed in its attack on Osama bin Laden the President would have suffered the fall-out and blame. Just as Mr. Carter suffered when the military failed to properly fulfil it's mission to rescue hostages in Iran way back when. The call to get Bin Laden was made by the President and it's appropriate for people to say he "got" bin Laden. Most intelligent people understand those conversations, and what is meant by the use of those words. Of course, some words can be mistaken ... such as when "W" proclaimed ... "Mission Accomplished."
carter got the blame because it was his fault. He demanded that all 4 branches work together to do the rescue. At the time the 4 branches seldom did such ops together. His Military leaders all but begged him to let them do it the way they new best. Carter elected not to. The peanut picker felt he knew nore than they did. That is why Carter deserves the blame.....
Since that mission gone south.
Reagan ordered traing. JOPS. This trains the 4 branches how to communicate effectively with one another.
Obama got Bin Laden? By that stretch we can all claim to have gotten Bin Laden .
