That waiver was ONLY given to government contractors due to the fiscal cliff.
It was not given to all employers in the US because of Obamacare mandates.
I think you are confusing issues here.
I am not confusing it. You are correct, given to military "government" contractors due to sequestration (downsizing the military) spending cuts. So do you think it is ok to stop people from being told they will lose their job to save Obama's job?

The 19% of Americans that put Obama back into office seemed to have no problem with this.
Although I suspect that very few of those 19% even know what's going on in America.
Heck..33% of Americans polled didn't know who our Vice President is and you think they might know about sequestration ?
19%..shocker eh ?
180 million voters...60 million got Obama reelected..that's 30% of registered voters.
60 million is 19% of all Americans.
Well individual companies don't notify the government for every layoff they do.
That is a good site that follows layoff notices and posts links to the various companies and papers that posted those announcements.
What you want doesn't exist today.
What I want? I quoted directly from the freakin' law that YOU posted a link to! Now I would agree it doesn't always work that way. I could cite numerous examples from my own experience. Most of the professionals I know who've been laid off had literally no notice whatsoever. Some got severance, some did not.

He fired them for voting for Obama.
There's huge loopholes in WARN. I worked for a big multinational.
The way they got around that was to do layoffs at various sites in different states.
In each state they kept the number under the minimum. WARN is on a per state basis, not per company.

I am not surprised to hear that.

It was a previous president who started the free phone program.

Kat, you don't have to believe that any of this is fallout from Obamacare.
You can believe that companies are laying off and cutting hours because they are not doing well financially. Or you can believe that they fired workers who voted for Obama out of spite.
You are free to believe what you want as the reason for these actions.
