It doesn't surprise me, but it boggles my mind why one can make a bumper sticker like that and not expect Black people to be upset. I guess it's the 50s mindset.
But it seems like some people think we are stupid as a whole, and will fall for anything
of course the 50's were not a good time for everyone, including white males. nor are/were the 20-teens a good time for everyone, not excluding white males. that was not the OP's point at all.
But in the 1950s, White males had it much better than the rest of the population, including White females. Last time I checked, Blacks couldn't vote in alot of states, in some states, segregation was still the law of the land, lynching was still going on, and so many other abuses.

Or some people wish people like me and you were that stupid. That bumper sticker isn't the only tasteless bumper sticker. I saw a pickup truck with a bumper sticker that said "take the monkey out of the White House and send him back to Africa". Another bumper sticker on the same truck said "A village in Kenya is missing its idiot". Alot of tasteless behavior.

should white people be upset by bumper stickers that advocate the killing of a white president?

if you really think that's why most people look back fondly on the 50s as a good era, i feel sorry for you.
why the need to feel the eternal victim? i just don't get it.
Yes, back then ('40s/'50s) were a "super-dangerous" time for children in school.
