That's the difference between the liberal mindset and conservatives..............looking toward some other country as an ideal instead of looking toward our our country as a shining example prior to the corrupt regime of the great charlatan Barack Obama installed by uninformed, gullible, one issue activists and socialist leaning academics.
So you think we live in the ideal conservative country? That has already been proven false, for the Cons, it isn't conservative enough.
Many conservatives feel that conservativism is such a great thing and yet when you look at the countries and places around the world that are conservative they are often have major problems (ie Saudi Arabia, Libya, Afghanistan[can't get much more conservative then that],etc.). Now, when you look at the liberal countries (most of Europe, Japan, S. Korea, etc.) they are in a hell of a better situation. Heck, the "conservatives" in many of those countries are the equivalent of many Democrats here. Even here in this country if you take away the more liberal areas (ie west coast, much the midwest, northeast) our country would be a shadow of itself. So where are these great examples of countries that conservatism produces?
Conservatism in the modern US is not the same as conservatism in Saudi Arabia, Libya, Afghanistan. In America during the 1780s, the term liberal was the exact opposite of what it is today. You cannot apply a universal term like that and expect consistent results.
America today is a far more liberal place and is no longer the ideal conservative country. Currently, there are no nations on the planet comparable to what superpower America was. Democracy is an unsustainable form of government however and we are well past our peak.

Yes, we are well past our peak of being a conservative country and good riddance.
..and when we are like Greece, then you'll be dancing in the streets? The economic situation of Greece is where we are headed.
Actually we liberals would like to see us become more like Denmark or Sweden. When that happens, then we will definitely be dancing in the streets and riding our bikes everywhere. Or even Germany, it would be great to be more like Germany. You seem to think there is only one liberal country in Europe, hate to break it to you, but there are many liberal countries there.
Still not one yet. Ok...maybe an example of a conservative country is too hard. How about an ideal conservative region then (who's going to throw out Texas first?)? We could go to cities and towns too if that doesn't work.

Oh, that one's easy. Bavaria. Famously the most conservative region in Germany, by a strong argument possibly in Europe. But it also has good beer, food, and women who wear the dirndl.
So far the lack of examples speaks volumes...anyone?
You don't understand conservatism. Conservatives, by nature, are attached to their own place and people and don't generally look elsewhere for utopian examples. They look to their own experience, institutions, and traditions. The problem for American conservatives is that our predominant political and ideological heritage is Liberalism. True, this liberal heritage is combined with some conservative mores and customs, but these are not strong enough to resist the liberal juggernaut.
That we've ended up in Obamistan was all but inevitable.
American conservatives need to face this reality. More "liberty", more populism, more republicanism and more democracy is just more toxic Liberalism. There needs to be an end to this revolution and a return to Authority - first in principle, then in practice. God, altar, throne (symbolizing the state) - in that order. Once the principle of Authority is recovered its concrete manifestation in the American context will come naturally.

So you want to see the US become a religious based country, which I assume that means Christian based country, which last I checked, this country was not founded on the idea of being a one religion country and I have no desire in seeing your Conservative utopia ever seeing the light of day where "God" is more powerful than our country's laws.
Which ironically sounds a lot like Saudi Arabia and the other countries that put God before government, so in turn you basically answered that question without having to state any country.
